New Haven IRL was created to make friendship possible again - on purpose.

In a world full of people, it’s oddly easy to feel alone. We live surrounded by potential connection, yet most of our interactions stop at polite small talk or passing familiarity. Modern life gives us a million ways to message each other, but fewer and fewer ways to actually meet.

New Haven IRL exists to change that.

We design in-person experiences for adults who want more real connection in their lives - the kind that’s fun, comfortable, and surprisingly easy once the structure does the hard part for you.

Each event is intentionally built to make meeting new people less awkward and more human. You’ll find small-group conversations, creative prompts, slow mixers, storytelling nights, and The Social Salon - all designed to help strangers talk like old friends.

This isn’t about networking or dating. It’s about belonging.

Every detail - from table sizes to pacing to how you’re welcomed when you arrive - is designed to help people feel seen, safe, and curious again. You don’t have to be extroverted or charming or know anyone in the room. The only thing you need is a little willingness to show up.

New Haven IRL is for people who are ready to gather again - in real life - and rebuild the sense of community that adulthood quietly took from us.
