New Haven IRL House Rules

1. No Job Talk.

We don’t care what you do.
We care who you are when you’re not pretending to be productive.

2. No Networking.

If you hand someone a business card,
we will set it on fire.

3. Ask Better Questions.

Instead of “What do you do?” try
“What’s something weirdly specific you’re proud of?”
or “If you had to teach a class on something obscure, what would it be?”

4. Choose Your Own Adventure

Participation is encouraged,
but never forced.
You can pass, pause, or step out,
no explanation needed.

5. No Scrolling

Be here, not in the feed.
Snap a photo if you want,
or respond to that text from your mom,
but put your phone away after.
This is real life.
